the artist erased the skyline the eraser was moving across the page when the policeman grabbed the artists arm he froze and tried to keep painting the grass was not finished the yard was still cold not now eye silently screamed inside his mind numb at this horror of the world gone mad the policeman only smiled we have been watching you for several months your activity is anarchist your paintings reveal sedition the artist was only my puppet drawing limbo eye took my hand off of the artists arm eye was the policeman frowning down at the people walking near the park was crowded on the walk eye came up close to see the police had an artist they seemed to be delirious the person behind me walked behind me then paused behind the artist the policeman and the man on the sidewalk froze in place of the artist drew the police away then the crowd walked into the park the artist painted the grass green how eye hated the green grass but the policeman smiled down and let him live one more stinking day time the crowd spit onto the canvas until the painting was in ruins the color of the sky bending into the grass was missing clumps when the artist replaced the easel with the tower coming closer the white yellow shade behind the green of the grass contrasted with the normal blue of the sky frowned down at the city escape the policeman tried to arresst the crowd for spitting on the artists painting they all got out the artist was not doing wrong so the policeman let him off for good behaviour while eye smiled like a junk yard god trying to hide the painting the first painting that had been spit upon by the crowd was ruined the artist erased the skyline
